Temporary Closures

Firstly, a reminder that there are a few venue closures in May to put in your diary...

  • 2nd May - Sevenoaks - Hall is in use for local elections (don't forget to vote!)
  • 6th May - Tunbridge Wells - Bank Holiday so there will be no class
  • 23rd May - Sevenoaks - Hall is in use for EU Elections (again, don't forget to vote!)

We will try to keep you informed of any changes on a week by week basis, but make sure you check the diary or the app before heading out.

Cinema Advertising

If you have been to Screen25 in South Norwood recently you might have seen our cinema advert for the Stanley Halls class nights running before the main film. If you've missed it then you can find it on our YouTube channel, but here's a version that covers both our venues. Feel free to share it on any social media platform you like.

Class Theme This Week

We change our class theme every Tuesday, so Stanley Halls is the first venue where we teach a new class. So for this week the class themes are...

  • Monday: Turning Ganchos into Leg Wraps
  • Tuesday: Promenades and Pivots
  • (There is no class on Thursday; see above)

Tango Underground - X-Tango in May

Tickets for May's X-Tango Neolonga in our new Otford venue are on sale now. Go to www.tangounderground.dance for details.

Social Media

If you do social media and want to follow us on there, you can find TangoSynthesis on these platforms:

  • Facebook
  • YouTube
  • Instagram (also as TangoUnderground)
  • Twitter
  • iPhone App
  • and of course our main websites www.tangosynthesis.dance and www.tangounderground.dance

Please search for us on all these platforms, and subscribe, like, follow, share, and join in.

Regular Classes - Everyone is Welcome

Our regular class nights are Tuesday in South Norwood and Thursday in Sevenoaks, and beginners are always welcome. There are no courses to start or specific "first day" evenings as we begin every session with an hour of fundamentals (8pm-9pm). Then we move into the improvers & intermediates class (9pm-10pm) where we do something a little more challenging, and this is followed by up to an hour of practise time if you want it.  Entry is £9 for the whole evening.

So whether you are completely new to dance and want to give tango a try, or encountered tango at one of our dance events and would like to know more, or even if you have been dancing tango for years and want to try a class that might be a bit different, come and say hello.

You can find our full diary on this website with details of everything we're doing for the next few months, but see below for the relevant things happening at our main venues.

Both of our regular classes are running as usual this week, at South Norwood on Tuesday and Sevenoaks on Thursday.

We are also in Showfields Hall, Tunbridge Wells on Monday night, with Learn to Tango Kent.
