Time: 20:00 (duration 2:00)
A modern teaching style and modern music. If you have ever been put off by tango classes that spend as much time talking about the traditions and history as they do teaching you how to dance, then give us a try.
Graham teaches using a modern style that concentrates on understanding the technique of tango rather than learning sequences of steps. The tango itself is the same, but the music and the approach may be quite different to what you have seen before. And if you are new to tango then our relaxed and welcoming classes are an ideal introduction.

X/Tango Alternative and Neotango Milonga
Graham plays a selection of alternative tango-danceable music from every genre across the spectrum, some modern electro nuevo that takes the essence of the traditional style and brings it into the 21st century, and occasional wild-cards that will test your musicality. And there will be no vintage "traditional" music at all.
Only £10 per person, paid on the door.

Join us for our first ever dedicated beginners' workshop and learn to dance the Argentine Tango!
Performance tango is known for its dramatic styling and fast footwork, but whilst social tango is exactly the same dance it is far more approachable than anything you might see on stage. You don't need a high level of fitness or flexibility, you don't need special clothes, and no-one will try to put you in front of an audience. All you need is a pair of shoes that are not too grippy (you should be able to turn on a shiny floor), and the curiosity to try something new.
This four-hour workshop will introduce you to the basics of tango, teach you a few steps and concepts, and get you dancing all the way through a piece of music. And included in the price is entry to our social dance evening the following Friday, so you get time to practice what you have learned.
The cost per person is £15, but if you book as a leader+follower couple it is £25 for the two of you.
Pre-booking is essential as spaces are limited and there will be no tickets on the door. Please contact [email protected] or text/whatsapp on 07711 005306 to book. Payment is by bank transfer.

You can download the ICS (calendar) file for the above classes and events to add them directly into your diary. If you want to download only events for a specific venue or only events of a specific type (e.g. X/Tango) then select the options at the top of the page and click 'Search' before downloading the file.
Please note however that some calendaring systems (e.g. Apple) are not currently reliably updating events that you have already added if the details have changed, so check back here if you are in any doubt.
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that this list is the most up-to-date source of information about forthcoming events, last minute changes beyond our control can occur.
