Come and join in with our our fun and friendly tango classes, every Wednesday evening from 8pm in the heart of SE25. Our modern teaching style helps to make sure that everything is explained in a way you can understand, and we play music that you know and love which makes you want to dance.
Croydon Youth Theatre has a purpose-built dance studio with a wooden floor, a mirrored wall, a barre, and easy access. There is off-street parking, and is an ideal place to spend an hour or two learning this fun and expressive dance style.
Beginners are always welcome at our classes, whatever your dance experience... even if you have never danced a step before.
4th October - Regular Class Night
Our class nights are suitable for beginner or more advanced tango dancers. You will be looked after whatever your dancing experience, and we will help you to discover this wonderful dance that we love so much.
We dance mainly to modern music that you might not normally associate with tango, but the dance itself is the same as you will learn anywhere.
There is a break in the middle of the evening for tea / coffee / biscuits (and sometimes cake).
Price: Only £10.00 per person for the whole evening.

The Shoestring Theatre, Oakley Rd, London SE25 4XG
The venue is on Oakley Road which runs between Albert Road and Portland Road. This is a one-way road and it is accessible only via Albert Road. If approaching from Portland Road you can loop through Sandown Road or Ferndale Road.
There is usually plenty of off-street parking as the venue has its own car park accessible from Oakley Road. If this is full then there is on-street parking in Albert Road and we are only a short walk from the Arena Tram Stop car park which is free.
Note: There are rumours that the council will be changing the parking restrictions along Albert Road and Oakley Road at some point. This has not yet happened and we believe that it will not affect anyone coming to the venue, but we will keep an eye on the situation and advise accordingly.
Tea and coffee will be available at the break in the class. You can bring any non-alcoholic drinks with you that you like, but only water may be taken into the actual dance studio. There is a lobby / landing area just outside the studio where you can keep anything else.
No talc on the floor. No drinks or food in the dance studio.
